Im not sure what happened with my commitment to blogging but I have failed miserably. I've been keeping a journal for a long time and I think I'm still getting used to writing my thoughts so publicly. With that being said let me start with March, seeing that I last posted in February!
In March Ford had his 1/2 birthday and Eric turned the BIG 30! Eric had said that he wanted two parties for his birthday. The first being a small family dinner and the second being a giant party. Since Eric and I have been together he usually wants and has the biggest birthday parties. For his first small dinner party, we went to Veggie Grill down in Irvine. His family came and so did Jeffrey Bachar. I have to say that Veggie Grill has become my favorite place to eat. I crave their blackened chicken caesar salad. His second and BIG party was at Keller and Anissas parents house. They were oh so kind to let us throw the party there. I had looked into renting the Mitten Building in Redlands but they wanted a staggering 800.00 for the night. I just didn't see that in our budget since we are trying, yes still trying, to buy a house. (that is a whole different subject) Anyways, back to the party...Tons and I mean tons of our friends came out to celebrate Eric turning 30. The Salt Lake kids and kids from LA and OC came out as well. I think that Eric is one of the most giving and thoughtful and loyal friend that someone can befriend and his party to me showed how many people are grateful and cherish his friendship.
As for April, it has been quite a busy month. I think we have looked at probably 20+ houses and put offers on 3. 2 of the 3 we were outbid on. We currently have an offer on a house in Yucaipa. I know it's not Redlands, you don't need to remind me. Here's the thing...we have looked high and low in Redlands, 2 of the 3 houses that we put offers on were in Redlands! This is in Chapman Heights, on the golf course and totally our size. Had to do it, the price was too right.
Eric left for tour on 4/15 which meant that I was off to my mom's for a couple weeks. He's actually on tour for 5 weeks. So for the first two weeks, I went to my mom's then the third week Eric came home and Ryan(brother) flew out and took his place and then Eric flew out to finish the last two weeks. It's has just become too hard on Eric to be away from Ford that long. He was super upset before he left. It killed me to see him so distraught about leaving. We are currently trying to figure out what to do with him going on tours. The summer will be easier since Thommy is having a baby, they have a lot of flyouts and gone for two weeks, home for a week kinda stuff. He's currently on tour now and I'm in Redlands. Just Ford and I!!! It is actually a lot easier than I expected. We have our routine and we just stick to that. I figure, I knew Eric was in a band that toured before we decided to have a baby and we chose to still have him. No need to whine and complain that it's hard. As if me whining and complaining to Eric makes it any easier on him, he's across the country. Tour is hard enough without me bringing him down. And really, there's nothing to complain about. I do miss yoga though. Eh, I can go next week when Ty is home. It' will me my hour and a half break.
Those pictures are so freakin' cute, I can't take it!!!! Thank you for posting an update. I know it's selfish of me, but I just like knowing and seeing what's going on in your life. :) And since I can't see Ford regularly, I take all I can get by what you post. He is so precious Natalee, I want to squeeze him!!!
ReplyDeleteLove and miss you xo
PS Happy Birthday Eric!!!
Nice to read that you are doing well. I do believe the way you carry yourself and manage your emotions with the husband being way is a good witness to others. Your baby boy is soooo cute. I miss redlands, the oranges in bloom and the good people. Take care!
