By the grace of God and Eric's mom Ty, I have been able to go to yoga three days a week and this week will be four. I love to go to yoga. I have been practicing for almost ten years now minus the time I couldn't go because I was working nights and then pregnant. So I'd say all in all about 7-8 years. About three years ago I was in a yoga class at Redlands Yoga and it came time to do a bridge. This pose is a total no brainer but on this day it was a nightmare. I had worn my hair in a regular ponytail (and not a bun like I normal do) and then when I set my hands down, I set them on my ponytail. When I pushed up into the pose I failed to notice that I was on my hair so when I went back down...well I couldn't and my hand slipped out from under me and I landed on my neck, upside down. This was a bummer and not only did it hurt but it scared the crap outta me. Since then I haven't done a bridge cause I was too scared, until last night. Dun Dun da da We were to the part in yoga where we cool down and that was one of the poses. We were doing a series of five bridges and in the back of my head I was like "no" but then I caught eye of Daniel, the yoga instructor, and he gave me this look like, dumb, you can totally do this. He walked over gave me the nod like get up and I pushed up into it. Super stoked! I realized that I had been living in fear for the last three years. This was super exciting for me because not only did I get up but it was really easy to get up.
